  Job overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator and groundworker to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently on various projects:

Responsibilities for ground workers:

Groundworkers duties to include:

·         Do all labouring construction task as required

·         Operate various power tools and large plant machinery, such as road rollers and pneumatic drills.

·         Dig trenches for cables and pipes.

·         Set up warning signs, cones, and other traffic control measures around work sites

·         Ensure adhere to all health safety guidelines at all times

·         work well within a team good listening skills and be able to follow instruction

·         work outdoors in all weather conditions

·         Operate excavators:

·         to perform digging, lifting, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications.

·         Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness, reporting any faults or issues promptly.

·         Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up work zones as required.

·         Follow health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment.

·         Coordinate with ground staff and supervisors to execute tasks efficiently and accurately.

·         Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage throughout shifts.

Qualifications

·         Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or civil engineering environment.

·         Mechanical knowledge relevant to excavator maintenance and troubleshooting.

·         Valid commercial driving licence, with experience in operating heavy machinery preferred.

·         Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.

·         Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and safety standards.

·         Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. This role is ideal for dedicated individuals seeking a hands-on position within a dynamic construction environment, where safety, efficiency, and professionalism are paramount.
